North West Mountain Rescue Team was tasked for the third time today to search the Cave Hill area of Belfast for a vulnerable missing person. As well as extensive, detailed inch-by-inch search of the treacherous ground and forest beneath the sheer face of McArt’s Fort, the team also set up a technical rig to have a detailed examination of the face and immediate area beneath the escarpment.
This was day 3 of an extensive and wide-ranging search of the steep high ground in the area by NWMRT and the lowland area by our colleagues in Community Rescue Service.
