Membership Procedures
We receive a number of requests to join the team.  It may be of use to prospective members to know the procedure used by the team, which is detailed below.      

The membership application process is done in five steps, taken here from the teams Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)


  1. The prospective member will contact the Team Secretary via email, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to request an application form and should provide a postal address. An application form will then be posted to the prospective member.
  1. Once the application form has been received by the Team Secretary, the Secretary will then acknowledge receipt of the application form to the prospective member and the membership process will also be explained.

  1. The Team Secretary will then email the contact details of the prospective member to the Team Leader and to the appropriate Section Leader.

  1. The Section Leader will then contact the prospective member to arrange for them to attend one Section training event, to allow the prospective member to meet the Section members and to have a preview of the activity of the team.

  1. If satisfied with joining the Team the prospective member is added to a waiting list for the next Team Induction Day. The waiting list for Induction will be held by the Team Secretary.

Under certain circumstances the Committee may decide to grant probationary membership to a prospective member.
